CGF, derived from blood by excluding blood cells, contains fibrin and growth factors that promote hemostasis and cell proliferation, potentially accelerating wound healing. An experimental group with CGF implanted into extraction wounds was compared to a control group without implantation. Four weeks post-extraction, the control group exhibited inflammatory cells, capillaries, and irregular collagen fibers, while the experimental group showed increased new bone volume and fewer inflammatory cells. After 12 weeks, the control group displayed coarse bone surfaces, whereas the experimental group had smooth, dense bone surfaces with bone trabeculae. Additionally, tall osteoblasts and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase-positive cells were more prevalent in the control group. These results suggest CGF accelerates the healing process, leading to earlier wound closure.
